Holiday Promotion - Las Cruces Portrait Photographer

I love this time of year. Shocker, I know. If you schedule a portrait session during November 22nd 2010 - and December 31st 2010 you'll receive an 11x14 standout on us! Standouts are prints that need no frame and are ready to hang. Very modern looking if I say so myself. Sessions can be scheduled for any date but in order take advantage of the promotion you just need to get your session scheduled before the deadline.

I am also participating in a Holiday Gift Fair on December 4th. The fair will be located in the parking lot of the Kids Kountry Day Care on Walnut Avenue and will run from 8 am - 1 pm. For you older Las Cruces folk, that's the location of the former Putt Putt Golf. I will be having a FABULOUS deal on gift certificates. So fabulous you are just going to have to come down and check it out. Buy one for mom, dad, graduate, or heck why not your self. I designed the gift certificates myself, and I think they look pretty swanky. Each comes with an envelope and are perfect stocking stuffers.

A Growing Family - Las Cruces Family Photographer

Can I just say that I L-O-V-E this family.

I first met Nicole and Peter when I photographed their wedding. Now they have a new little one.

This little one is a tease and will be keeping her parents on their toes for a long time.

You guys are beautiful.

One thing we wanted to make sure and get down before school started was to take a family picture. Our first "official" family picture. So we dragged Grandma with us to stand behind the camera, push the button, and hope Melody would look at the rattle she shook and shook. It sorta worked. Although whenever a car would go by Melody thought that was much more interesting than a silly ol' rattle. Here's Nate graciously posing and Melody being semi-patient as I set up the camera and tripod.

Family pictures are an adventure. I love Melody's expression in this one. She seems to be saying, "Grandma Taylor, I have NEVER seen you act so silly."

Basically you hold your breath and cross your fingers that you got at least one good picture to hang on the wall.

I love our pictures, probably because I love these people so much.

Lots and Lots of Family - Las Cruces Family Photographer

I had the very fun opportunity of taking some family pictures at a summer reunion. I was invited up to Elephant Butte to spend some time with this smiled filled family at an old lake side lodge. It was so beautiful!

Here is the whole gang. Big group pictures are always a challenge, but I'm very pleased with these results. This family reminded me a lot of my husband's family. They're a big group too and it's always a riot when we get together.

I love everything that's going on in this picture. These are all the grandchildren. What lucky grandparents, these kiddos are fun just waiting to happen.

So here's a quick look at my most recent photo shoot. These two are so in love. All they do is giggle and laugh.

I love people in love. There smiles are contagious.

So even though I gained 16 mosquito bites during our photo session, I'd say they were worth it!

Family Sneak Peak - Las Cruces Family Photographer

Here's a sneak peak from a family session I completed this week. Luckily, we managed to beat the heat.

This little guy had SO much energy and wanted to explore everything. Typical two-year old! This is a rare quiet moment.

My first photo session since having our baby was with this awesome family. They were such a joy to photograph and interact with. Here's a few of my favorites.

Candid moments are the best. They tell the real story. I love how this picture captures a silly moment. I was trying to convince them to jump in the air on 1...2...3!

Laughter. I'm convinced that this is what keeps our relationships glued together.

I have found the best trick to get someone to give me a REAL smile. Just say, "Okay, now don't smile...no I mean really don't smile." Gets them everytime.

Sometimes it's okay not to smile. Acting tough and cool is okay too.

One of my favorite "sisters" pictures ever. You know these two will be stealing clothes out of each other's closests for a long time.

Even though it was pretty hot (in the 100's that day) I had a blast hanging out with this family, making pictures.

Melody

She's here! She's finally here. We are so excited to be parents. There have been struggles and lots of lessons to be learned, but Melody is so worth it all.

My favorite moment from the whole birth experience. As soon as they handed me Melody she stopped crying once she heard my voice and looked up at me with those melt your heart eyes. I will never forget that moment. Luckily, Grandma was manning the camera and caught it for me.

Well the pregnancy has come and gone. Luckily, I can say that I really enjoyed it. Someone recently asked me, "What was the best thing about being pregnant?" For starters, veggies and fruits tasted out of this world. But ultimately, the building excitement of meeting my little one was the best.

I was able to keep myself busy during the 9 months. Here's some sessions I completed with a baby bump.

Happy Mother's Day! Mother's Day is going to be extra special this year because I am becoming a mommy, any day now in fact! We're going to be taking some time off to spend getting to know our new little one. I'll still be responding to emails and phone calls, we just won't be scheduling any photo sessions for the month of May.
